EDIMAX has launched IC-3030i series network camera for home and SOHO users. The IC-3030i series is believed to be a high-performance and cost-effective security camera that allows users to check upon the safety of their home, pets, or assets without spending a lot of money on expensive surveillance equipment. With night vision support, the IC-3030i series is said to capture clear video footage of a criminal event even in low light conditions. Its multi-area motion detection function and pre- and post-recording capability also allows it to produce video footage of the monitored area up to 5 seconds before a detected criminal event. The IC-3030i series network camera comes in 3 network interfaces: the IC-3030i Fast Ethernet model, the IC-3030iWn wireless model, and the IC-3030iPoE Power over Ethernet model.
The IC-3030i series is designed with multi-area motion detection system. When motion is detected in the specified areas, the network camera claims to immediately take a snapshot of the detected motion and send the snapshot to the user via email or FTP. The multi-area motion detection function also works with the network camera's pre- and post-recording feature. When motion is detected, the IC-3030i series is able to produce video footage of the monitored area up to 5 seconds before the detected motion.
The Edimax IC-3030i series is designed with 2-way audio support. By connecting speakers and a microphone to the network camera, users are believed to remotely communicate with people at the site where the network camera is installed, or even ward off an intruder when necessary.
