Epson has introduced a document camera designed to work with projectors to help teachers expand their presentation options by projecting live videos of desktop items that can include hard copy documents or live demonstrations. The new model is the Epson ELPDC06 portable document camera.
The document camera is useful for presenting lessons that involve non-digital formats like live dissections for biology classes, sharing art pieces, handicraft or live correction of written answers from students. The document camera can even double up as a webcam for video conferencing.
