Allied Telesis boosts SwitchBlade x8100 Series Products

As part of its ongoing commitment to innovation, Allied Telesis has announced a series of enhancements to both the hardware and operating system features of the SwitchBlade x8100 series products.
 
Organizations such as schools, universities, hospitals and large government customers need solutions that deliver performance, density and a large total port count. To meet these requirements, Allied Telesis has released the CFC960 control module, which is capable of delivering a total of 1.92Tbps and supporting 160 10GbE ports in a single 7RU chassis. Along with exceptional high performance, the CFC960 also supports Allied Telesis Virtual Chassis Stacking (VCStack). This enables two SwitchBlade x8100 chassis to operate and be managed as a single entity, delivering complete redundancy to large-scale network environments.
 
With these enhancements, Allied Telesis has made significant improvements to its SwitchBlade x8100 family and can now meet a huge range of network requirements, from mid-enterprise to large government organizations. And with AMF embedded within the network, there is no other solution on the market that delivers the same performance while also assisting users to reduce their total cost of ownership, said Subhasish Gupta, Country Manager  India & SAARC, Allied Telesis.
 
With further enhancements and the subsequent release of the CFC960, AMF can now manage up to 120 nodes  nearly 1,000 switches.
