Elitecore SMP rolls out Residential Wi-Fi Services

Elitecore Technologies has announced that its SMP has enabled an Indian operator to offer residential Wi-Fi services for its subscribers on both prepaid and postpaid models. The SMP will fulfil the operator monetization goals by offering enhanced experience to residential customers, create new services and achieve faster dealer provisioning by using reseller portals and Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) management which will enable the operator to check Wi-Fi feasibility at user premises, install and activate CPE and support proper payment methods.

Further, Elitecore SMP enables residential subscribers to latch on to public hotspots using their existing accounts. It also caters to other walk-in users through time and volume-based vouchers. The future-ready SMP also supports operator roadmap of launching Wi-Fi offload.

Dhaval Vora, VP, Product Management, Elitecore, stated, Operators can monetize 2G-3G subscribers and other users within a Home Wi-Fi range by converting them into cost-effective residential Wi-Fi plans while offering Wi-Fi hotspot access for those users as a premium service. Elitecore SMP also enables operators to scale to other business models including inter-carrier wholesale, Mobile Data Offload, Enterprise, Location-aware events and hospitality.

Elitecore has further offered services including national Wi-Fi core OSS/BSS solution design, project management, system integrations and design, COTS customization, user training and security assessment.
