NEC Corporation has released a Linux version of ExpressCluster X 3.1, a high-availability software that supports the SAP NetWeaver technology platform.
According to the company, the software is now available worldwide and provides the functions required for clustering in SAP NetWeaver.
NEC said the SAP Integration and Certification Center has certified ExpressCluster X 3.1 via the SAP NetWeaver High-Availability Cluster 730 integration scenario for the Linux x86_64 platform.
The software can also be maintained for as long as 10 years, enabling essential systems to be reliably operated for extended periods of time.
In 2011, ExpressCluster took the number one position for the third year in a row in the Asia- Pacific region, including Japan, in terms of monetary value in the HA cluster software market with about 23-per cent share.
Looking forward, NEC said it will continue to proactively enhance ExpressCluster functions, improve support services and expand business partnerships while providing customers globally with secure and reliable systems.
