Tata Power Solar modules achieves PID test

Tata Power Solar has announced that its crystalline PV modules have successfully passed the Potential Induced Degradation (PID) test conducted by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), a premier global independent safety science company.

Commenting on the certification, Ajay Goel, CEO, Tata Power Solar, said, “As one of the oldest solar manufacturers in the world, we have exported more than 500MW of modules worldwide over the last 25 years. This latest PID-free certification from UL is a testament to our commitment to producing high-quality solar modules that set the standard as best in the world.”

The results showed less than 1% degradation in the modules, while the accepted level is between 4% and 5%. The strong performance of Tata Power Solar’s modules under such extreme conditions showcases the superior quality and reliability of its products.
