Wipro Chennai Marathon receives 5,000+ Entries

 The second edition of The Wipro Chennai Marathon (TWCM) is poised to surpass the success of the inaugural edition if the registrations are anything to go by. With more than 5,000 entries received so far, all indications are for another successful marathon. With this edition of the race, TWCM establishes itself as a permanent fixture in the city – to be held on the first Sunday in December every year. Over 10,000 runners are expected to participate this year.

Shahid Kandrikar, Race Director, Chennai Marathon, said, "Last year, we hosted one of the best running events in the city of Chennai. Our group of running enthusiasts is ecstatic about the positive feedback from the participants of the 2012 run, and we are hoping to exceed everyone’s expectations with a stellar event in 2013.  We look forward to sharing our passion for running and healthy living with all of you through this, our flagship event."
